The bodies of a missing Volusia County woman,  Loni Turner and her ex-boyfriend Erin Ross were found Monday morning in a local hotel room… the victims of an apparent murder/suicide.

Of course that’s not the story the media is focusing on… the fact that Turner had a request for a restraining order denied by the courts has the media on a witch hunt looking for someone to hang. Turner’s family is fueling the fire by making comments like she’d be alive today if the judge had granted the request…

Unless you’re living with your head buried in the sand you have to realize how worthless a restraining order is if the psycho that is after you is hell bent on killing you, which in this case is exactly what happened. I can’t help wondering if the fool-hearted comments being made by Turner’s family isn’t something scripted by an attorney in order to increase the chances for a huge settlement on some bogus wrongful death lawsuit.

It seems like our society is breeding these possessive jerks at an alarming rate and every time you hear one of these stories you realize just how powerless we all are and how neutered the courts are when it comes to domestic violence.
