{"id":80,"date":"2015-03-31T18:20:44","date_gmt":"2015-03-31T18:20:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bills-soapbox.com\/?p=80"},"modified":"2015-03-31T18:20:44","modified_gmt":"2015-03-31T18:20:44","slug":"fight-between-religious-beliefs-and-gay-couples","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/bills-soapbox.com\/?p=80","title":{"rendered":"Fight Between Religious Beliefs and Gay Couples"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">I guess I\u2019m missing the boat with the flap over the State of Indiana\u2019s attempt to have religious beliefs trump the sexual discrimination laws. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">Personally I don\u2019t see why we need either law\u2026 Why the government feels they need to (or the right to) force a behavior, in this case serving same sex couples, on businesses who\u2019s owners have strong (usually religious) objections to same sex unions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">If company A doesn\u2019t want to do business with a same sex couple they should have that right of refusal. Same sex couples should respect that decision and simply take their business elsewhere. A major part of the problem is that those who support same sex unions have no respect for the feelings or beliefs of others.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">Chances are that those businesses that are willing to change along with the times are going to flourish and those who aren\u2019t willing to adapt will see their business dry up and they\u2019ll eventually close their doors or decide to re-evaluate their position. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">If we were to let private business sort out the problem over time we wouldn\u2019t have all these emotions running amuck.
