The story headline reads… “Amazon pays no income tax for second year.”
The media is feeding us a line of shit and even those who should know better are repeating and promoting their misleading agenda.
The Amazon from the story is a Limited Liability Company or LLC… which for federal tax purposes is a pass through entity that by design pays no federal taxes of their own. The pass through happens when the profits that the company makes flows to the ownership’s personal tax return where the income is taxed by the federal government.
The question we should be asking is how much federal tax the owners paid! Unfortunately we’ll never see the lame street media tell you that because I’m sure the number is staggering.
