Last Ditch Effort

Ted Cruz, in an act of sure desperation, named Carly Fiorina as his VP running mate. During an interview with Fiorina later in the day she said, “I am very proud to be a woman. But I would never ask people to vote for me because I’m a woman. Ted Cruz didn’t pick me because I’m a woman; Ted Cruz picked me because I’m a capable individual.” Is she that ignorant? It is so obvious that Ted Cruz is playing the woman card in a desperate attempt to draw more of the women vote. We’ll see how well that works come next Tuesday.

Election Blues

It’s a presidential election year and the very survival of our way of life is at stake, however I’m experiencing an unusual void in topics to write about. I’ve run the gambit of emotions, but have not had any ambition to put those feelings into print. I started out hoping Jeb Bush would garnish support and climb in the poles. When that didn’t happen I wanted Marco Rubio to succeed only to see him faltered and drop out early. What that leaves now is a choice between two self serving government establishment candidates and one load mouth loose lipped self funded self expressed king of the hill. The very thought of any one of those currently running for president (on…

Making A Viral Video

I’m sure you’ve seen it… the viral video of this woman yelling and cursing at Governor Rick Scott inside a Starbucks in Gainesville. It’s being shown repeatedly on most of the mass media outlets and I’m sure that a lot of liberal hacks have posted it and spread it around on Facebook. I saw it for the first time last night on the boob tube and to be honest I have my doubts as to how spontaneous this was. To start with the quality of the video is way too sharp and stable to convince me that it was taken by some random bystander using their phone. We’ve all seen those videos… shaky and blurry due to way too much…

Smoke and Mirrors

California’s governor has signed into law a mandatory $15 per hour minimum wage for the entire state. On the surface it sounds as if the ignorant masses have prevailed in persuading the government to use the police powers of the state to get a huge raise. What you don’t see up front is the fact that what this new law does is step the minimum wage up to the $15 per hour by the year 2022. That’s 6 years from now! By the time these morons actually get $15 and hour they’ll be complaining they need $30 an hour. What we’re not going to see every time there is a bump in the minimum wage is the millions of hard…

US Postal Service Making History

April 10th will be a monumental day in the history of the United States… the post office is set to lower the price of a first class stamp by two cents. It’s got to be a first for the postal service. The drop in price has nothing to do with any improvement to the fiscal health of the postal service, it apparently stems from a price increase years ago that was tied to a clause that as soon as the post office recouped lost revenue due to the last recession that the increase would roll back. It comes as no surprise to me that the federal government has gauged the fiscal success of the postal service by a 20% drop…

Can We Trust The FBI?

The FBI announced today that with the aid of a third party they have successfully unlocked that I-Phone that they had previously sued Apple to force the company to write new software to bypass the security/privacy settings on the phone. I heard a report that the data retrieved was encrypted and that it would take the government time to decipher the information. Personally I think it’s all a scam… the FBI needed a way out that would save face since the courts were siding with Apple. So the FBI has fabricated this story about finding a way into the phone’s databanks without Apples help. That’s why they have also said the data is encrypted… it gives them time for the general public…

Primary Day in Florida

Well today is most likely dooms day for Marco Rubio’s 2016 presidential run. Kasack might hang in there a bit longer if he manages to win in his home state of Ohio. And then it will be down to two… Trump and Cruz. The good news is that Florida isn’t likely to be the brunt of any election jokes this year. That’s because the entire election process from nomination to election day is going to be such a monumental joke on a national scale.. I don’t think I have to go too far out on the limb when I say by the time Election Day arrives we are all going to be physically sick from watching and listening to all…

The Silly Season

The Silly Season is about to get underway… The first of the 2016 Presidential Primaries is going to happen in Iowa on Monday. That is if you can call what they do in Iowa a vote. I’m not convinced that anyone knows exactly how they decide who wins and who looses. Caucasus participants are forced to endure hours of boring speeches and protocol and in the end nobody takes a tally of how many people support each candidate, but a winner is ultimately declared. As screwed up as the process in Iowa is, it boggles my mind that everyone puts so much credibility to the outcome. It’s the first of 52 primaries that are to take place and in respect…

Oscar, Pure White Under All That Gold?

The Oscar nominations were announced yesterday and once again certain race baiters have pointed out the lack of nominees of color implying that the Motion Picture Academy is nothing but a bunch of racist old white folk. Angel from the morning radio show The Monsters in the Morning was making the argument that most of the 6,000 members of the Motion Picture Academy that vote for the nominees don’t have the time or the interest to watch the lesser known and therefore often overlooked movies featuring black actors, producers and directors. I’d take that thought just a little bit further and make the argument that if the object of making a movie for our black actors, producers and directors was…

The Wiz

I watched the live performance of the Wiz last night on NBC… The costumes were great and the show as a whole was entertaining, however there was one slight deviation that they took from the original story that left me wandering… ‘What the hell were they thinking’? When it came time for the Wiz to send Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tinman and the Lion on their quest to prove they were worthy it wasn’t to bring back the wicked witch’s broom they were told to outright kill her. Now I grant you in the original story Dorothy splashes water on the old hag, which causes her to melt and she’s dead. However, they didn’t set out to kill her it was an…
