Today is the one day that our politicians have set aside to honor and give thanks to those men and women who serve and have served in our military… protecting the freedoms that we enjoy on a daily basis.
The president makes his annual appearance to lay a wreath at the tomb of the Unknown Soldier and make a speech about the state of our veteran affairs. This year’s speech wasn’t much different from those given before… the president brags on what a great job his administration is doing providing medical treatment, emotional support and job training to those who serve in our military.
It’s too bad we can’t all be wearing the same rose colored glasses that President Obama gets to wear. There were times during his speech that all I could think about was how many of our veteran’s were getting as sick to their stomachs as I was listening to Obama spew his typical line of bull.
The current administration and all the other liberal politicians around the country are too busy spending billions of dollars pandering to the lazy good-for-nothing ignorant poor that make up their majority voting base to be bothered providing adequate benefits to those who have or are now putting their well being in harms way.
I for one think its shameful how a good number of our veteran’s are continuing to be denied the quality of care, emotional support and respect that they have earned.
