Covid 19 Death Toll

Now that New York City has added and will continue to add ‘presumed’ Covid 19 deaths to their total death toll I’m sure other state and municipalities will decide to do the same.

My fear is that they will… as they tend to do… take that avenue way too far. Are we supposed to count people who decided not to go to a hospital and die at home when they needed treatment because family members are being barred from entering with the patient?

Are we supposed to count those who commit suicide because the unprecedented shutdown of our economy caused them to lose everything they  have worked hard to achieve?

What about those who suffer underlying medical conditions that cause their death that are brought about from the stress and anxiety they experience listening to the main street media hype the worst case scenario 24/7?

It’s going to be interesting to see if in a year or two from now we look back and see a sharp drop in the number of regular old flu related deaths… deaths that were counted as Covid 19 deaths without any testing to back that up? I think they will. I also feel that when all is said and done that it will be the general consensus that the State and Federal Government’s over reacting to the pandemic is directly tied to the economic fallout that we haven’t even felt the full impact of as of yet.
