Stock Market Crashing?

The New York Stock Exchange dropped over 1,000 points yesterday, which brought out all the naysayers who are predicting economic gloom and doom… tied to the Trump administration of course. The markets have all been rising steadily for over a year based on a positive economic outlook under President Trump’s leadership. If anyone has any knowledge of stocks and the markets know that you can’t have a sustained period of increases without having a sell off at some point. This is basically how the rich get richer in this country… they watch their stocks rise in value and when they get that itch they sell and take their profits. The casual investor who got into the market while the prices…

State of the Union

I watched some of the President’s speech last night… mostly a lot of pat me on the back moments, which I believe are well deserved. When they say President Trump is no politician I say amen. He’s shown time and time again that he stands for what is best for the country and brushes off all the negativity the media throws at him on a daily basis. He’s gotten more done to improve the lives of all US citizens in his first year than any other president before him; however you wouldn’t think that if all you were seeing were the faces of the Democrats in attendance. When he called for unity within congress the minority leader Nancy Pelosi frowned.…

Universal Basic Income Experiment

Stockton, California is getting ready to experiment with Universal Basic Income or UBI. I’m sure we’re going to hear a lot about this concept during the next few elections as the Liberals and Socialist candidates pull out all the stops to lure voters. The idea is to give those residents who are not making what they feel is a basic standard income a check to make up the difference. The city filed for bankruptcy in 2012 after getting in over their heads building arenas and marinas in an attempt to lure in tourist dollars… now they feel initiating this Universal Basic Income program they will retain their citizenship. I’m no expert, but what I see happening is the city is…

Honoring Florida Heritage

In 2016 the Florida Senate approved legislation authorizing the removal of a statue of a Confederate General from the grounds of the US Capitol. This year they are working on legislation to choose a replacement and the front runner is Mary McLeod Bethune the founder of Bethune-Cookman University. Apparently each state is allowed to display two statues at the Capital’s National Statuary Hall. Florida’s second statue is of Dr. John Gorrie who is a pivotal figure in the invention of air conditioning and someone who should be revered as a god by most Floridians. So Florida is considering replacing a Confederate General who was a staunch advocate of slavery and after his military career imploded had ties to the KKK……

Cost of a Government Shutdown

We’re hearing all this gloom and doom predictions about the cost of a government shutdown… what a burden it will be on a huge segment of the population if our non-essential government workers are told to stay home presumably without pay. Let’s start with debunking the idea that our government work force is going to be sent home without pay. It may be true that many federal government offices would be closed, however every time our lawmakers have run the government a ground they pass a funding bill to pay every one their lost wages as soon as they resolve their issues. What it turns into is extra paid vacation time for those poor government employees, which is most likely…

Immigration Reform Talks

President Trump held a meeting yesterday with members of both political parties with the objective to work on their differences concerning immigration reform legislation. In an unorthodox move Trump invited the media to the meeting to broadcast the meeting live so the public could see their government at work. Sean Hannity decided to rebroadcast parts of the meeting for his radio audience, of which I’m a member of… I don’t know if I’m the only person on the planet that noticed but all I heard was a bunch of politicians telling each other how important boarder security is, how it’s a necessity to work together and get it done right so they aren’t addressing the same issues 20 years from…

Trashing Trump

The latest book by Michael Wolff, “Fire and Fury” is creating a predictable reaction by Liberals… Renewed attacks leveled at President Trump. Wolff has done the rounds on all the bias talk shows where he is talking about how he was granted unprecedented access to the White House and President Trump himself. He also wants us to believe that his motives for writing the book were unbiased, which is a huge crock of shit. Wolff has written several books and he makes his living writing trash. In my opinion the thought processes that lead to the release of his latest book went something like this; Based on the latest bias and hatred toward President Trump it was a no brainer…

Time Magazine’s Person of the Year

Time Magazine announced their person of the year for 2017… “The Silence Breakers.” So Time Magazine feels that a bunch of women who are making accusations of sexual misconduct that are in some cases decades old to be the most influential and most important person of 2017. What a crying PC shame. Of course the short list of candidates included the leaders of China and North Korea, so their choice could have been even more idiotic. I’m not trying to diminish the severity of any unwanted sexual contact or harassment, but lets face it men are pigs, they have always been pigs and will more than likely always be pigs. Most keep those thoughts and actions in check… a select…

Seasteading

A story on Drudge is where I first heard of the term, which is the concept of living in a floating self-contained city. The non-profit group, Seasteading Intitute, based in San Francisco has been floating (forgive the pun) the idea since their formation in 2008. Funded by some sort of virtual currency they have gotten the blessing of the French Polynesia to use a portion of their coastal area to test and build the first floating island city. People since the dawn of man have been dreaming of such a utopia… seems now that we have an over abundance of billionaires who lean to the far left and have swallowed the climate change pill a serious attempt at creating just…

Another Nut Case With A Gun and A Grudge

Here we go again… another mass shooting. This time 26 people, half of them children, were gunned down during Sunday church service. The only reason that more people weren’t killed by this pathetic excuse for a man was that a neighbor with a gun had the courage to fire back at him and chase him until he got stuck in a ditch… at which time the coward apparently decided to end his own life rather than take responsibility for his gruesome actions. The debate by the liberals will ramp up again demanding more gun control… more of the same empty arguments when the problem isn’t the guns it’s the nut cases that shouldn’t have them. We need to do a…
